So, I know I've been pretty lame about posting lately, as it turns out I actually have a valid excuse ( you know, other than the typical we've been busy bla, bla, bla). Apparently I have pinched a nerve somewhere in my back. Things like that have happened to me before, but never on this level. Usually I just wait it out and after a few days I'm better. Not this time. After waiting a few days, it was apparent that it was NOT getting better, in fact it was getting worse. Pain, I mean pain on the level I haven't felt since I gave birth started exploding down my arm and my fingers are numb. I finally went to the Dr. yesterday and he gave me all kinds of pain killers and muscle relaxants to hopefully get me functional again. so far they're not working all that fabulously, next step is a visit to a physical therapist and if I'm not better I get to go have an MRI done..oh joy.
All of that is bad enough on it's own but the cherry on top that turd sundae is that my brother is getting married this Friday and we're supposed to be leaving Wednesday to travel 300 miles to get there...in the car...which is one of the hardest places for me to get comfy with this dang nerve thing. Fingers crossed I'm somewhat better by tomorrow.
Needless to say there hasn't been much crafting. Doc say that the nerve probably got pinched by spending long periods of time hunched forward...hmmm I wonder WHAT I could be doing hunched over for hours at a time, lol!
OK, now for something crafty, YAY!
Here's a card I created with the new "Space Cadet" set from Paper Smooches.
I used the astronaut, sentiment, stars and planet earth from the "Space Cadet" set. The Space scene was created by stamping and embossing the stars in white and adding some white chalkboard mist.

So sorry to hear about the pinched nerve - I've heard that can be just completely awful. Sending lots of well wishes your way and hope for a speedy recovery! Love, love love your card - such a clever idea!
Oh Heidi, I hope you feel better soon and can go to your brothers wedding!My friend is sitting here and is a massage therapist and she said to try a massage, and or chiropractor before an MDI? Awesome card !!!

Very cute space card! Love the design, colors, stamping and the screw brads. Makes me think I'm looking through the window on rocket, watching a walk on the moon! Too cute! :)
